THE 4 C's OF A DIAMOND

Carat:

The weight of the diamond serves as the basis for measuring a Carat (measuring unit). Depending on the other three C's you choose, two diamonds of the same carat will have different prices.

Color:

Ideally, colorless diamonds are considered the rarest and highest quality with a pure icy look. A diamond’s color ranges from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). To be completely honest, an untrained eye cannot tell much of a difference in the color of a diamond within a given color family. Nevertheless, the color of a diamond does affect its price and quality.

Clarity:

The sparkle of a diamond is caused by the reflection of light as it passes through it. Some diamonds have flaws in the form of blemishes and spots. The sparkle decreases as there are more flaws because light cannot pass through them easily.

Cut:

The cut of a diamond is what matters most when selecting one. It essentially controls a diamond's proportion, symmetry, and polish. The sparkle and scintillation of a diamond will be enhanced by a proper cut. Your diamond is more likely to sparkle brilliantly and look gorgeous once it's got a better cut!
